Okāsan Camellia Kimono
Part of the Okāsan collection, this full-length hōmongi is crafted from softly shimmering champagne-beige habutai silk.
Hand-painted white camellias (tsubaki) with pale blue-green leaves flow along the lower hem and rise asymmetrically, symbolizing enduring love, purity, and resilience. The restrained placement and luminous neutral ground give the kimono a graceful, ethereal balance.
Likely from the mid-Shōwa era (1950s–1970s), this piece reflects subtle yūzen techniques and understated elegance. Part of the Okāsan collection — kimonos carefully preserved across generations — it carries a sense of memory and continuity.
Condition: Good vintage — light, age-related wear.
Length: Full length — dramatic and elegant; designed as a statement piece.
A kimono of grace and tenderness — luminous, composed, and quietly evocative.
